Pulse E3 Error CodeUpdated a month ago

Troubleshooting: Pulse E3 Error Code

If your SaunaBox Pulse remote is displaying an E3 error code, it means that the connection between the remote and the main control box has been lost.

Your Pulse remote and controller system should come automatically paired, but occasionally this connection can drop. Fortunately, this can usually be fixed with a few quick troubleshooting steps.

Step 1: Basic Reset

First, try a basic reset of the connections to re-establish communication between the remote and the control box.

  1. Unplug the control box from the wall outlet.
  2. Turn off the remote control.
  3. Plug all cables back in securely.
  4. Turn the remote back on.

Step 2: Re-Pairing the Remote

If the E3 error persists after the basic reset, and you do not hear a beep from the control box when turning the remote on (but the leakage protector’s red light is on), you will need to manually re-pair the remote.

  1. Make sure the main control box (mother controller) is plugged in and powered on.
  2. On your handheld remote, press and hold the Temp ▲ and Time ▲ buttons at the same time for 5 seconds.
  3. This action erases the previous pairing code and forces the remote to re-connect to the main controller.
  4. Wait a few seconds—you should hear a beep from the control box if the pairing is successful.

Step 3: Full GFCI Reset

If the remote is still not connecting, try fully resetting the power supply.

  1. Make sure the GFCI plug is firmly plugged directly into a wall outlet.
  2. On the GFCI plug, press the TEST button. This should cut power to the unit and turn off the light on the GFCI.
  3. Turn off the remote.
  4. Wait about 10–15 seconds.
  5. On the GFCI plug, press the RESET button.
  6. Repeat the re-pairing process from Step 2 (holding Temp ▲ and Time ▲ for 5 seconds).
