Pulse E1/E2 Error CodeUpdated a month ago

Troubleshooting: Pulse E1 & E2 Error Codes

If your SaunaBox Pulse remote is displaying an E1 or E2 error code, it typically indicates a power or connection issue between the control box and the heating panels. This means the control box is not receiving a proper connection to run correctly.

Please follow these three troubleshooting steps in order to resolve the issue.

Troubleshooting Step 1: Verify Connections

The first step is to ensure that all cables are securely connected.

  1. Check that the control box is properly connected to the power supply.
  2. Verify that the cable bunch from the panels is firmly plugged into the control box.

Note: You can view a short video walkthrough on how to reseat and verify these connections here: E1/E2 Troubleshooting Video.

If the error persists after verifying the connections, proceed to Step 2.

Troubleshooting Step 2: Pair Your Remote

Your Pulse remote and controller system do not come pre-paired via Bluetooth. If the connections are secure but the error remains, you may need to pair the remote.

  1. Ensure your controller is properly connected to power and the cable bunch.
  2. Turn your remote on and wait for the E1 or E2 error to appear on the screen.
  3. Once the error message appears, aim the remote directly at the control box and press the On/Off button six (6) times consecutively.
  4. You will know the device is successfully paired when you hear a click from the controller box and the error disappears from the remote screen.

If the error persists after pairing the remote, proceed to Step 3.

Troubleshooting Step 3: Full GFCI Reset

If the remote is paired but the error remains, try fully resetting the GFCI plug and the remote.

  1. Make sure the GFCI plug is firmly plugged directly into a wall outlet.
  2. On the GFCI plug, press the TEST button. This should cut power to the unit and turn off the light on the GFCI.
  3. Turn off the remote.
  4. Wait about 10–15 seconds.
  5. On the GFCI plug, press the RESET button.
  6. Turn the remote back on.
  7. If the E1 error appears again, repeat the pairing process (press the On/Off button six times consecutively while aiming at the control box).
  8. If the E2 error appears again, go through the process of resetting the system once more, and verify that the control box is properly connected to the power supply.
